This week we retro-fitted gate motors onto existing pillars for one of our regular customers in Kildare. The existing plillars are 900mm wide and so extended articulated arms on both pillar mounted gates were necessary. I usually choose between Ditec, Came and Nice automation equipment when working on gates. For this job Nice was the only option. It has the option of extended arms for large pillars. The pillar mounted motors are very neat as is the control unit. No adjustment was needed to the gates. The remote fob has excellent range and reliability. In addition I used an ACT 5 keypad for access and a Comelit intercom. Both of these pieces of equipment have been around forever and give any installer peace of mind for reliability.
